Continuing on with her stories of the children. This book has twist, turns angst, fake dating you name it. It’s in this book. It does end on a cliffhanger. I love how she can tie all of the characters into one book and it makes you want to know what is going on in the rest of their lives.
Was this book good? No. Did it scratch an itch? Yes, but not until 250 pgs in. Am I gonna read the next one? Yeah, because it ended on a huge f***ing cliffhanger!
Still on the quest for a dark romance that isn’t completely misogynistic…

I love a good bully romance like the next person, but this was a little much at times. It was more than bully and I’m not sure I can describe it. PLUS it ends in a cliff hanger and I had no idea.

here's the thing. I knew this book wasn't for me when I heard the content warning. I am not a bully romance person. but I gave it a chance anyways because I thought this might be rio from good girls vibes.
ares/wolf is terrible. in the way men are terrible in real life and why read about it. I like my book boyfriends to be better. the bullying crosses the line for me into worse. BUT I know for some people that is your cup of tea and no shade to you. in that sense this is entertaining. just definitely check the trigger warnings before reading.
red was annoying in the beginning but in the end she came into her strength and I appreciated that.
I will say once we got past the bully part and more into the enemies to friends to lovers I did enjoy it. the cliffhanger got me. I wasn't sure I was going to finish it, but now I am curious how it wraps up.

I know this is supposed to a dark bully romance but the whole premise of this book was so stupid that I just couldn’t take it anymore. A few high school football players decide to put on a show of Malice at the Palace football edition and got pissed because the FMC (a photographer for her school’s newspaper) took pictures of it and someone else on the newspaper staff wrote a justifiably scathing article. Mind you there were no legal consequences for all this because everybody is rich and white. The main culprit lost a year of eligibility which the school was actually not going to enforce but the parents that had gotten him out of legal trouble made them do it so he could learn from it or some. I didn’t even make it a quarter of the way thru the book before the two characters had threaten to sexually assault/rape the FMC which the MMC interrupts just to choke her and based on other reviews it only gets worse from there.

I really tried , I love supporting smaller authors , but there was just something about the writing that felt almost too young and yes I understand it was from a college perspective but, I just couldn’t get behind it. Maybe it’s just me trying to lie to myself that I should read more “spicy” books , but when the fmc said “The double-Ds were definitely catching perspiration…” I had to bow out . I’m sure it’s a great book for the right people .
