This bully romance was really well done! DEFINITELY check the TWs as it involves dubious consent. If I had not been warned, I don't think I could have enjoyed the book, but going in knowing what to expect always helps me.
I loved the plus-size rep, Fawn is a little reckless and I love her for it. Ares is hot and I love a horrible man with a soft spot for his family. Also, I LOVE the when in the fake dating trope there's the "we've never seen them this happy" moment between the fake partner and the partner's friends OOF so good. I also loved the little side queer rep we get, it felt real and not over or underemphasized. MM scene and some voyeurism.

The plot felt a little slow; we get teased with both characters' backstories and don't get answers until the very end and then a cliffhanger. The hardest part was the writing itself, some of the sentences were awkward and the character's inner monologues were VERY repetitive. I also did not like the Wold nickname dynamic and when Ares was compared to one, I kept kind of expecting to discover he's a werewolf lol. It just felt like it was overemphasized for no reason. However, I still liked it and read it in two sittings because I just loved Fawn and Ares's dynamic!

Fake relationship tropes are usually a really big hit or a really big miss for me, Eat You Alive fell somewhere in the middle. The character building and world building was okay, I was for sure left with a lot of questions on the time line and a few things weren't explained in detail at all. The tension between characters was great, the "contracted" relationship wasn't consistent which added to the drama. Overall a decent read.

im sorry but what ?? the first 3 books in the series was amazing but this ? nahh

Not sure how I stumbled across this one, but this should have been/almost was a dnf. Somehow, though, I did manage to finish it. This books was so full of abuse and manipulation it blows my mind. I know there are some that enjoy that type of thing, but I am not one of those people. Not sure how this even made it onto my TBR, kinda wish it hadn't. Also, it ends on a cliffhanger.

NOPE! And yet....maybe?

This book has me confused and angry. It really wasn't that good.
