Welcome to Honey Creek! What an amazing start to a new series! I have been so excited to read this one! Adriana Locke is on my 1-click author list for many reasons, but first and foremost how her stories are always centered around family. Don’t get me wrong there are so many more amazing things about this story but to me the relationships the characters have with there families make them who they are.

Sophie and Holden spent their summers growing up with each other they were best friends. Flash forward to now, Holden comes to town to help out his grandad and the sparks fly.

Pick up this book, get sucked into the Honey Creek world of characters, it seems like such a fun place. I didn’t want to leave. Adriana has written a beautiful love story that you are going to love! I know that I did!

I love small town romances, and this one had all of the feels. I listened to the audiobook so I don't know if that makes a difference. I liked both Holden and Sophie's characters. I don't think there was a character in the book that I didn't like. There wasn't a ton of angst, or any of that wishy washy back and forth stuff.

Holden and Sophie made a decision and stuck with it. Granted, it all happened pretty quickly, but their friendship blossomed into so much more. Their dialogue was a little witty and fun. It showed how one alteration in a life plan can change the entire direction of your life. I also liked both Liv and Jobe. Hopefully they will get their own stories soon.

This was sweet, sexy, low key, feel good romance that will leave you smiling as Holden and Sophie get their HEA. If you are looking for a nice, no stress romance, this one should work.

Holden is back in Tennessee at the veterinary clinic his grandfather owns while his grandfather takes a vacation. It’s a bit of a landing spot for Holden while he hears back from his dream job in Florida which will ultimately decide if he moves back to Arizona or to Florida. If only his possible future employer didn’t want to hire someone that was married. Then Holden would know where he was going. Sophie has taken over running the Honey House B&B after her grandmother left it to her. But Sophie’s ex ran off with Sophie’s savings and she has fallen behind on some bills. If only she had someone with some money or she could offer some assistance to someone in exchange for paying back her debts. Sophie and Holden agree to get married to help each other out. But are they really going to get what they wanted out of their marriage?

It was sweet. Nothing extra special to me but I loved the marriage of convenience trope. Free Listen and Read with KU is always nice too. Holden’s note for Sophie was one of the sweetest things.

I really like Ryan West’s voice but I don’t think it was the right fit for Holden. Ryan’s voice sounds like he is older where Holden wasn’t in his 30s yet.

Such a cute, fun small town romance! I loved Sophie and Holden as well as all the side characters. Would have liked more from the fake dating aspect as things progressed just a little too quickly for me. Overall highly recommend and looking forward to book 2!

Adriana Locke was a new to me author prior to this book. I originally wanted to read this book because it took place in Tennessee which is where I live and I love small-town romances.
Like You Love me Is a sweet second chance, marriage of convenience, small town, slow burn, romance. It has a ton of tropes packed into one book. And I did not disappoint.
We have Holden McKenzie a veterinarian and Sophie Bates, a sweet and and sassy B&B owner.

They both grew up together as kids and ran around town getting into fun and mischief.
“We had so much fun back then. Hell, I still like being around her now. She’s unpretentious and easy-going. Spontaneous, yet grounded. She’s a crazy mix of gorgeous and adorable, and to see her as an adult makes me so curious how our friendship would’ve played out in different circumstances.”
Sometimes life throws curve balls and they drifted off with Sophie getting into a marriage that didn’t pan out and Holden getting into a relationship that ultimately did not last. Losing his job through no fault of his own, he moves back into his hometown and starts working with his grandfather at his veterinary office.
From there he runs into Sophie Bates and there is an instant attraction with both of them. And their friendship instantaneously picks up as if years did not drift them apart.
The one thing that’s keeping hold him from getting his dream job is the fact that he needs to look like a family Man on résumé so what better way to look like a family man then be married with a beautiful woman on his side... he knew that Sophie desperately needed money for her B&B so hence the marriage of convenience!

“Please don’t get so excited about this. You know the truth. This is just temporary.”
“Yes, I know you said that, but it doesn’t mean that’s how it has to end.”

Holden and Sophie were meant to be together from the start. It’s obvious in the way that they feel for each other and look at each other. They are such a sweet and beautiful couple together as the couple navigates through their thoughts and feelings and emotions, this marriage ends up becoming more real before they even realized it. And it was really sweet as a reader to see their love become genuine.
“Follow the sun, kiddo. Go where your soul feels warm . . . You’ll know what choices you need to make in life if you follow the sun.” Pap’s words clang through my mind. Sophie. She’s my sun. And I bet Pap knew it all along.”

I would have love to see an extended epilogue. Just a glimpse into their future as a “real” married couple and how they navigate life together. But I could never complain about this book it was super sweet and ridiculously adorable!

Coming back to help his grandfather with the local vet clinic, Holden keeps his eyes on the prize of a prestigious job in Florida. But when the man that holds the key to that job only wants a family orientated man Holden needs to find a wife ASAP. Sophie needs an influx of cash to keep the B&B she inherited from her grandmother alive. can the two childhood friends make a pact to work together to help each other out? Or will the feelings they have been ignoring come too close to the surface? Once again Adriana Locke has started a new series with adorable characters the reader will instantly fall in love with. Her sense of family holds true and her storyline is not only enjoyable but makes the reader feel like they are right there in the small town. Entertaining from the opening pages makes this another book that deserves more than 5 stars!!
