Really loved this, it was very entertaining, and I liked Alosa's perspective and learning about what she does and all that.

I read this book in a day and I enjoyed it. I have never read a book about pirates before but it was cool.
There were no big surprises or plot twist (except for one unexpected thing which I didn't like). I did really like the main characters though.

It was pretty average in my opinion but I still had a great time reading it and I will definitely be reading the second book.

It felt like I was reading a child’s book. The main character was too perfect in a way which made the story feel “unrealistic” and didn’t really ever make me feel any sort of rush. Despite it all, it was an enjoyable, lighthearted read and I recommend  it to anyone who’s looking for a quick read.

gonna be honest, not the biggest fan. i think maybe my expectations were too high because of how tiktok hyped it up, but i’ve gone into other books with high expectations for the same reason and they have exceeded them so not much of an excuse. it felt like a lot packed into a  short amount of writing, a lot of popular book tropes too. a lot of people say they like it and i guess i kind of understand, i mean at least the main character is pretty girlboss.

Morals of alley cats, these ones.
If you don't mind that (what else can you expect from pirates, honestly), then read at your own risk.

Here be casual, cold-blooded killing; thievery; seduction; torture; promiscuity; and general immorality. To be fair, the characters' consciences do prick them - if they are romantically or familially involved with someone. And it's rare.
