For context I rated books 1 and 2 a 4.75 and I honestly loved them and had a great time with them.
In many ways I, unfortunately, feel like this book fell flat. The pacing was all over the freaking place, which in turn reduced my engagement and enjoyment. Also, the general chain of events that occurred in this book did not feel cohesive and just didn't really make much sense. I feel like the author focused more on where the story was going and less on how it got there. The magic system in this series has always been pretty fast and loose, which I typically don't mind, but I feel like this one took that to the next level and really just threw caution to the wind. Which is fine, but sometimes I felt like something would happen and I would ask myself why or how that happened and the only answer I could think of was that the plot needed it to.
Overall, I am very glad to have read this trilogy because I had a ton of fun with books one and two and I really feel like this is a solid underrated fantasy trilogy and world, but I do feel like this book fell flat in a lot of ways for me.

This series have some of the most precious characters ever. I weep from how much I love them. And this book is solid most of the way through. Had some struggles getting into it despite paging through passages of Ravencaller to jog my memory. Also I didn't much like the ending.
Spoiler
it was a bit chaotic with bigger stuff just toppled upon one another. The battle just seemed to grow more impossible despite dragons and goddesses randomly entering. It's a bit deus-ex-machina going. ALSO ALSO I feel cheated of my pain and suffering because Tesmarie was brought back to life in the most fucking random way. LET THE DEAD STAY DEAD. If characters are brought back from the dead it needs to have good reasons for it. Hers just felt out of the bluebrandysbooks's review against another edition

Very good conclusion to the trilogy. Not everything ended in sunshine and rainbows which is really good. There’s still hope in the future of The Cradle and every being that calls it home.

I am actually really conflicted with this rating. I feel like things might have been rushed, but at the same time the story wrapped up nicely. I still stand by the “if your going to kill off a character, don’t bring them back” sentiment, but it was nice to see Tes again.
