It’s a good story to read with kids about to start school because kids just starting preschool or kindergarten can relate to it. It lets them know it’s okay to miss parents while at school but not to worry because at the end of the school day you see them again. It encourages kids to still try to play and make friends while in new surroundings.

Anna Dewdney is a genius! I love these books :)

The Llama books are so cute. I love the messages and the rhyming is catchy. My kids love these! (And I like reading them too!)

Good for kids who struggle with separating from their parents.

A great book for children nervous about their first day.

Esper loves this book. It teaches that mom always comes back.

This has been much requested recently at bedtime.

Cute. Forrest wanted to read it about 6 times in a row.

Great back-to-school title that addresses fears of being left behind.

A well constructed school separation story.
