The writing was a bit weird and childish to start off with but I grew to really enjoy this book, definitely hooked

Yes!

This is exactly the retelling Beauty & the Beast has been needing all along! Finley is a badass. Nyfain is my book boo! I'm on to the next book right now! Woohoo! Let's gooo!

I was laughing out loud at so much of this deliciously sexy book.

I so badly wanted to like this one… Not only because the cover is beautiful, but because the blurb makes this story out to be a beautiful, albeit dark, retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Instead, what you’ll get is a story about a gullible girl who, despite taking care of essentially her entire village for the past 9 years, talks to herself and acts as annoying as a young child. The inner dialogue is meant to come off as cute, I’m assuming, but really it’s distracting and annoying. I’m aLeo left feeling absolutely nothing about Nyfain, who is supposed to be the love interest and prince. His development was essentially non-existent, and I genuinely could not believe it took Finley the entire book to come to the realization that he was the prince..like girl.. I have no words.

Honestly it was what I needed. I’ve been in a slump. I needed something dumb, not well written, and super smutty. Well, I found it.

Good, but weird middle book syndeome

I felt like this whole book was a lead up to the second book. So middle book syndeome but it's the first book.

Honestly...I'm just getting into the Smutty-verse. I enjoyed the spice, but the story was a bit meh for me.
It took a solid third of the book for the story to remotely pick up. Hadriel is the best part of the book.
Not my favorite read, but that's just my opinion.
