The ONLY reason this got 3 stars from me was the characters. I fully enjoyed them. The banter was fun and relatable and their personalities made me laugh.
Without the characters, this would have been an easy 2 stars or a DNF for me. The whole story felt disjointed to me. I didn't think the transitions in the story were smooth. Some of this had to do with the fact that the entire book happens over DAYS when it felt like it should have taken at least some weeks. It just felt like we were jumping from one intense scene to another and there was always something spicy mixed in and not enough relationship development for me.
Last, I felt like I read that whole book and learned very little and didn't get resolution. Then the story wasn't robust enough to make me want to read more. There was so much presented on a platter for this fantasy world and story, but there were no bows to wrap any of it up in the end. What is her beast? Are they mates? Why did the mad king make the deal? What really happened to Nyfain's mother? Will she choose to go back to the castle? Could we not at least see her get started on her garden or something? Like literally, nothing happened to resolve or bring more light to anything.

no se si yo no comprendí toda la historia pero me sentí un poco...
Me pareció muy confuso que Finley hablara sola...ella de por si ya tenia un humor y carácter bastante peculiar...pero luego todo tuvo sentido, estaba hablando a su animal interior (agradezco que solo tengamos el pov de su animal y no del dragón de Nynfain).
El monstro a.k.a el Dragon a.k.a Nynfain a.k.a el Príncipe... en verdad era todo una fachada, como monstro, se corrió la voz de su existencia para que nadie ingresara en el Bosque Prohibido pero todo tenia un motivo, en verdad el Dragón estaba matando a todos los demonios que eran liberados cada noche para que no lleguen a la villa. Nadie ni tenia idea que el Príncipe aun vivía y menos que él SI podía cambiar de forma... Vivió tanto tiempo en soledad con un solo propósito.
Lo que si esta CLARISIMO es que por más que Finley no supiera que animal exactamente llevaba en su interior, su animal le quería dar como cajón que no cierra al dragón de Nynfain... yyy CARAMBA!! cuanta tensión.
Luego esta todo el trance de la maldición sobre el reino, los cambiaformas tenían suprimidos a su animales, no lo sentían y eran azotados por una enfermedad cuyo camino a la muerte solo era ralentizado por el elixir que Finley fabricaba con los everlass en cambio en el castillo de Nynfai el tiempo se había detenido, nadie envejecía. Los demonios, en su mayoría íncubos y súcubos estaban tanto por las villas como por el castillo.
Es aquí donde la cosa se pone muy obscena/sexual pero no tira a lo asqueroso, tal vez porque hay un toque de humor entrelineas.
Esta primera parte de la historia, no podría decir que es LA HISTORIA, obviamente aquí solo se da a entender todo el contexto de la maldición del reino, se revela algunos secretos sobre Nynfai y Finley, hay muchísima tensión entre ambos, con tira y afloje entre sus personalidades yyy más la atracción de sus animales y todo el riesgo que les rodea.
Obs.: Hadriel es el mejor y más simpático personaje secundario en toda la historia
