I loved every single second of this book.
Finley and Nyfain are such complex mc’s and I ADORED THEM. 🥰
Their chemistry and subsequent denial of said chemistry, ugh we LOVE the tension.

The plotting was medium paced and kept me drawn in the entire time. It felt like a super unique spin on beauty and the beast and I ate it up.

AND DO NOT GET ME STARTED ON HADRIEL.😂😂❤️ I was ugly cackling with literally every scene he was in.

All in all, this was SUCH a genuinely fun, spicy, and hilarious read.
I cannot recommend it enough! 🙌🖤

Horrible writing, horrible storyline and just horrible.

Cringe dialogue from the FMC really brought me out of the story

Book was oddly entertaining in the worst way. Absolutely hated the FMC’s inner monologue (folks), unnecessary vulgarity and its use of modern language in a presumably medieval setting. And the MMC’s ”big reveal” was glaringly obvious so how did the FMC miss that!? Almost DNF’d, but I ain’t no quitter.

I really wanted to love this book so much more than I did. I’m a sucker for a good beauty and the beast retelling. But I just had so many issues with it.
Ultimately I gave it three stars because I really did enjoy the story, the dynamic between the love interest and herself, and the underlying plot. I also plan to read the next ones because I absolutely need to know what happens.
What I couldn’t stand was the MC’s internal dialogue. I spent the first 25% of this book absolutely hating everything she said. Her interactions were so inconsistent that I couldn’t figure out what type of character she was. Something would happen and I would get sucked back into the story, and then she would have an internal conversation with an imaginary audience (wtf is with that) and I remembered how much I couldn’t stand her.
And don’t get me started on the swearing.
I love swearing, I use a plethora of swearwords on a regular basis. But the swearing in this book was like you gave an 11-year-old a list of swear words but didn’t tell them how to use any of them. It was so painful to listen to.
At the end of the day, she hooked me with the plot, enemies to lovers, and smut, but I’m still going to live the rest of my life hating this MC.

I have nothing nice to say, and for the first time that I means I’m not going to say anything at all. I finished it. I’m sure this is great for some people, for me I just wasn’t a fan. I’m not the audience for this book and that is okay.
