It actually kind of pains me to not give this 4 stars. But I have a few gripes.
I remember when we meet Elliot at the art auction in The Takeover, I thought: If I could put money on it, he’s going to end up with the artist of those paintings and she won’t even know her paintings are being sold. And it definitely isn’t gonna be the blonde he tried to chase around. If anything she’ll be a thorn in the side of the MCs. … … and you know what? It’s really bad when you can think of the plot before you even crack the book open.
But I loved Elliot. I also loved Kate. I just wish we got more of mean Kate. I feel like she gave in really fast to him. I suppose that’s not entirely uncommon when people fall in love. But a little weird considering they hated each other’s guts for seven years. I suppose I love a bit of angst, and it was short lived in this instance.
My other minor gripe is that the writing is repetitive. The sex scenes are also repetitive at this point. Every single book uses the same verbage.
The air crackled between us.
My chest constricted
etc etc etc
Oh. And if you happen to want to listen to this on audible. I guess. CJ Bloom is a great narrator, except for her fake British accent. I could not handle it for long at all. Good thing this was a weekend read and not something I was hoping to listen to while commuting.

I'm a huge fan of this series and this book is no exception!
This is a great enemies to lovers story. Elliot can be hard to deal with and he can be very intense, but he inside he's a romantic who is looking for something extraordinary. Kate isn't afraid of what she wants but she doesn't know how to get it, she can be stubborn and she can slightly overreact. When they decide to hookup exclusively, neither of them expects it to become anything more than that, Kate is looking to see if she can feel anything after the death of her parents six years ago, and Elliot cannot seem to get Kate out of his mind.
The Casanova has some surprising reveals which truly caught me off guard and had some actual laugh out loud moments. Overall, I really enjoyed this one and if you haven't started this series yet and you love steamy reads and a good love story, pick these up.
I received an eARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

My favorite so far!
I loved The Casanova! I laughed. I shed a tear or two. Kate and Elliot were fun and incredibly intense. I started guessing about the identity of Harriet Boucher pretty early on in the book, but I'm so glad how everything turned out. I borrowed this book in Kindle Unlimited, but I'm going to buy it so I can keep it forever.

From the little encounters we had with Elliot in the past books,I didn’t think I was going to enjoy his book… but I was wrong. I loved Kate from the beginning, the way she wouldn’t put up with with Elliot’s BS. Their trip to New York… pulled at my heart and had me laughing! And reading about Claire and Tristan’s life updates, along with Jameson and Emily’s melted my heart.

Elliot is Kate’s boss and they despise each other - until something abruptly shifts that passionate the other way. Elliot doesn’t do relationships but has been chasing after his dream girl for a long time at art shows whilst feeling a soul-deep connection to his favourite artist - someone elusive that he’s never met.
Kate and Elliot gradually fall in love and have to learn together what it means to chase your fate.
I enjoyed this much more than the first two books in the series - I really like how the romance played out with Elliot and Kate. I like the twist ending though I do feel like it came a bit out of nowhere and I thought their relationship was fun.

Again, I felt like this book started so promising, but then just fell flat for me. I usually love an enemies to lovers book, especially if you add workplace romance in there too, but this just didn’t do it for me. I personally thought that both characters were a little too much.
Elliot is super protective of his privacy, which is understandable, but it annoyed me that Kate kept expecting more. You both knew what you were signing up for. When Elliot flew to France to meet the artist, I felt like it was a shitty thing to do, but I can understand why he did it-he would have regretted not going and it would just fester in his mind. I think Kate was fully justified in her reaction because I probably would have been traumatized too. And the whole Daniel scene?? Like what even was that? It felt so unnecessary. I’ll likely read Christopher’s story, but maybe after a bit of a break first.

i loved this!! elliot and kate's tension and banter and chemistry was so well done, i could feel it through the pages. i loved their story, from enemies to friends to lovers, it was so sweet and so surreal. it just flowed out of the pages.

Another great read by T.L. Swan. She gives Alpha males the best heroines and it's always a great book to watch an Alpha loose his mind when he falls in love. Elliot and Kate have so much heat between them and their back and forth fights make the flames even hotter. The only problem I found with this book is it was so good, I couldn't put it down and that made it over far too fast! I can't wait to read it again and again just like the rest of her books!
