This book reminded me alot of forever my girl, I think did called but instead of it being a rockstar, it’s a hockey player.
I enjoyed this book, just wish it didn’t drag so much at parts. The chemistry was great and I loved Knox.

✨️REVIEW✨️ Surprise for the Sniper by Siena Trap
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! This book was brilliant. It was such a good read.

First off, the characters were spot on perfection. 👌
The MFC was so relatable with her body image concerns and the MMC with his emotional past and fears. I think I loved this book more than the previous one. I love how the characters work through their issues together... not straight away, as that isn't real life, it'd be too perfect, but that through building the foundation of the relationship and their trust in each other, they helped overcome personal issues together.

Brilliantly written, it is so easy to fall into the story and feel a part of it. I love a second chance romance, and this one had so many feels to it. The emotions were all there, anger, fear, lust, regret, and so many more.

The basis of the storyline is a subject that should be talked about and not be judged. It's not your place to judge or make someone feel bad over a situation that you haven't been in or know the circumstances of, so applause for writing it.

I loved the characters' history and how they changed as they grew over the years, but when back together, they were the same people they remembered falling in love with all those years before.

I apologise for the late review, but thank you so much for my ARC copy of this book.  Yet another book of yours that I've loved!

4.25 stars! I was in a huuuuuge reading slump. So, I decided to go to a genre I always love, which is sports romance. And I knew I love Sienna’s writing & the Comets universe. And of course, she did not disappoint! This was Book 2 in an interconnected standalone world.

I really love this found family & group of friends. Benji & Liv’s story had the added aspect of a surprise pregnancy from the past being found out about year’s later and how they had to navigate it. There was spice, a dominate MMC, and a timid FMC.

Cant wait for more of this series!

4/5 ⭐️

Benji, the playboy heartbreaker turned family man and husband material in the blink of an eye. Crazy.

This was so sweet and angsty, just the way I like it.

Benji finds out he has an 8 year old son after going back to his hometown for the first time since he got his hockey opportunity and immediately wants to spend time with the kid, Knox, that he’s got 8 year of catching up to do with. He’s got a lot of abandonment and trust issues due to his life growing up so it was bound to affect his relationship with Liv, Knox’s mom.

Liv is a sweetheart single mom who puts her child first, always. He’s her whole world after all. Benji’s been her one and only since she was a teenager, much to Benji’s surprise, so watching the rocky start turn into something loving and amazing was great to see.

Watching the three of them as a family, however, definitely tops all of it. Watching Benji grow into his role as Knox’s father, we knew there would be bumps and turns, but he still did everything he could to make sure Knox knew he was loved and that’s all that mattered.

This book was amazing and I’m so ready for Braxton’s book. I feel like we barely know who Braxton is minus him being Jaxon’s brother, so I’m ready for it.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book is about Liv and Benji. In the very beginning we find out that Liv is pregnant at 16, and when she goes to tell Benji, she finds out he is leaving to pursue his dream to play professional hockey. She decides it is best not to take that away from him, and to do it on her own, hoping that when he discovers the truth one day that he won’t hate her for it. Fast forward nine years, and that day finally comes. We then see the ups and downs of not only the sudden realization of fatherhood that was kept from Benji, but also the potential rekindling of an old relationship. How will Liv adjust to the sudden reintroduction of Benji into both hers and the child’s life?

I loved that this book seemed closer to real life than other romances I’ve read. Relationships aren’t perfect. They are give and take. People make mistakes, as no one ever knows if they are always doing what is right. I think the characters seemed more real as they weren’t perfect. They had issues and weren’t always on the same page, however I loved the communication the two MCs had.

I have yet to be disappointed by anything Siena Trap has written. Can’t wait for more! Highly recommend!

Siena will continue to keep me in a chokehold with this series.

Her way of writing her books had the ability to captivate my attention from the very start. With "Surprise for the Sniper", I loved that it was a second chance, hockey romance. Liv and Benji had been through a lot of things, but a baby wasn't on their bingo card. Liv decided to keep the baby a secret so that Benji pursued his dreams, which could be seen as selfish, but it was admirable to me. She didn't want him to hold himself back from pursuing his dreams. There were a lot of moments in the story that really touched me, but one of them is Siena's way of making you fall in love with her play of words. So many beautiful quotes were highlighted in many moments that really touched my heart. This read was a slow burn, but it really made sense to be a slow burn to really share Liv's and Benji's past.present and future in a raw & organic way. Their character growth from beginning to end really warmed my heart and this book really gave me all of the feels!

Favorite quote:
“Knox brought us back together, sure, but my stumbling upon him allowed me a second chance with you. I’m with you because I can’t help loving you.”

I volunteer as tribute for the WHOLE SERIES. MY HEART MAN.

My first book by this author, and it will not be my last. There’s a whole series I want to read featuring characters present here.
Benji and Liv both had their issues, but for me that’s what made the book better as they were dealing with everyday things we all do…you know besides Benji’s hockey millions. That’s a problem I wouldn’t mind having.
