I'm absolutely blown away by the level of detail and expertise included in Robinson's works. The science, the history, the politics, linguistics, economics - it goes on! He speaks to each as if he's spent an entire lifetime as in expert. And every bit of expertise is woven into short, seemingly insignificant moments but they are truly cornerstones of realistic world building and story telling. And he can really tear into you with his descriptions of raw human emotion. It's all so moving, impressive, and inspiring. Can't wait to start the next one (but also glad I've been moving through his works at a glacial pace so that I have many left to read).
