Sometimes all you need is a steamy book
This book is a great choice for those who enjoy reading about age gap and student-teacher romance. However, it's worth noting that the story ends with a cliffhanger. While the story was enjoyable, I felt that it ended rather abruptly, leaving me wanting more. Also, I would have appreciated more character and story development.
Overall, an entertaining read. I'm looking forward to the next novel.
*** Thank you to NetGalley, Piper Lawson, and Dreamscape Media for graciously sending me the audiobook to review. As always, all thoughts are my own.***

Piper Lawson gives us an intriguing, tension-filled beginning to this illicit student teacher romance. There's a lot going on with both of our characters, so much more than their forbidden connection- secrets, complicated pasts, heartbreak, and uncertainty all bubble under the surface. Just when we get to the good stuff, and after some tension filled steam, we're hit with a huge surprise that calls everything into question and a HUGE cliffy that has me desperate for book 2.

This book just missed the mark with me. I gave it a low 3 stars. There was something about each character that didn't vibe with me, but i cant put my finger on it. THe sex was just....weird. THe subplot was boring.

- reread 6 April, still obsessed because this one isn’t weird or creepy… it’s cute, they meet before they know and she is 21 and it’s all okay and consensual and that’s what we love!

I love an age gap romance, but I usually don’t pick a teacher student dynamic. I don’t know why, but it’s typically not my thing. But this book. HOLY
