the plot and characters are great, but i did find myself getting lost between all the different characters and their stories because of all the different perspectives.

A Native version of Crash, where the story follows multiple people, who at first glance, don't seem connected but by about the 50% mark you've figured it out.

A majority of the action comes at the last 15% of the book, it was an interesting take on the Indigenous experience and I like that it mostly highlighted urban Natives who are normally forgotten in contemporary Native media.

Just wish the ending was less ambiguous.

There, There is one of the most powerful, moving novels I have ever read. The fact that this is a debut makes it even more remarkable. I would highly, highly, highly recommend picking it up, you will not be sorry.
