“I guess anything is possible in four days in Paris.”

This book threw me back to my study abroad days. Having dealt with the tumult of emotions that occur when you’re leaving your international life (friends and memories) behind in a few days, I FELT this book. The excitement of NYE, the excitement of Y2K, the excitement and anticipation of a new love… the author did a marvelous job setting the scene and making you feel what Callie was feeling.

This was a sweet romance (with a tiny bit of spice; more buildup, tbh) that focused on more than just Callie’s romantic relationship; it focused on her friendships, as well. I do wish more time was spent seeing Callie and Julian connect. Most of the times they actually get to know each other feel like “fade to black” moments. They walked the streets of Paris and talked (about what?!). They spent the night together and talked (ABOUT WHAT?!).

This book had a HEA.

3.5 STARS ROUNDED TO A 4 ⭐️

This story was very sweet and was the exact depiction of what i feel like falling in love in Paris would feel like. Although it was a sweet, quick and enjoyable read it wasn’t memorable for me. I feel like it was very much monotone in the sense that nothing surprised me.

I loved the friendship between the female main character and her friends and would have liked to see more interaction between them. I felt like there was a TON of time spent on setting the scene. I also felt like the conversation between Callie and Julien should have happened so much earlier than it did and not behind closed doors.

While i do think this is a cute, it just fell a little flat for me.

Mmm…. I took me a long time to get into this book.
I wasn’t super fan of Callie, she fall is love super fast and that is okay! What I didn’t like to much was that she was so insecure of her own feelings and she projected that on Julien.
Julien was just out of a relationship and sure Callie wasn’t aware at the beginning but even after knowing she kept hiding her feelings and expecting Julian to know!

Callie and Julien coming finally together felt a little bit rushed and a little more of character development was needed.

Something that I truly loves was how Paris was portrayed, it truly felt like being there.

Four Days in Paris by Lexi Haddock
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Review
Such a lovely holiday read that brings together not only a holiday romance but also a powerful friendship between 3 ladies. Was such an easy read and is just how I'd imagine living in Paris during the New Year period of 2000. It's not your typical holiday romance as it follows Callie on her last four days in France hitting her last bucket list items. The book was very realistic and the attention to detail regarding aspects of Paris was just lovely to read and allows the reader to be gully immersed in the story. I completely binged this book in one day, It was just a great read.

Callie arrived in Paris to be with her boyfriend, hoping to be engaged soon. But her world collapsed soon after arriving, when he told her that it wouldn’t work. Six months later, she is ready to return to the USA. She has four days left to enjoy Paris, and maybe find love.

This romantic comedy is really sweet. I loved the heroine, Callie. I found it really inspiring how, despite all her misadventures and a broken heart, she still is full of hopes and dreams, enjoying the moment. Callie’s deep connection with her two friends, Lila and Emilie helps her a lot during her time in France : self-discovery and courage are the keys for the young woman to start over and meet the man of her life.

Discovering Paris and all the famous places of the French capital through the eyes of an American visitor was really interesting. Without stereotypes, Lexi Haddock created an interesting and immersive romcom inspired by her own time in France.

This is a quick read that is based in Paris and is an instant love story.

It is the end of 1999 and Callie is getting ready to say goodby to Paris. She moved there 6 months ago following her boyfrienbd, who ended things the day she arrived. She managed to get a job and apartment, but now only has a week before she is moving back to the states.

She has resigned herself to the move and created a bucket list of things to do in Paris before she leaves.

And then she meets her friend's half-brother, Julian, at the New Year's Eve party and wishes she had more than 4 days left in Paris..

Are 4 days enough to fall in love? A cute fast paced romance book set in paris.

I liked how very accurate (at least it felt to me very real) the City was described. Lots of details as I am myself there. The friendship between Emily, Lilia and Callie was so strong and really beautiful. Both main characters fit well together and had a great chemistry, though I wished I would have had more moments with both of them.
Unfortunately for me, the end was kinda suddenly there. Would have loved if that would have been a little less rushed.

If your looking for a very sweet and adorable book with lots of details about Paris, this is for you.

This was an enjoyable romcom, quick and easy to read. I flew through this book, I couldn’t put it down.

I loved the friendship Callie had with Lila and Emilie. Her friends had been there for her when upon arriving in Paris her then boyfriend dumped her!

I liked how everything was paced quickly as that gave a more realistic impression on the four days that Callie and Julien had together.

On the whole this was a really enjoyable and uplifting read with some laugh out loud moments. I certainly look forward to reading the next book.

Thank you to Love book Tours the author and the publisher for having me on the tour and for my gifted ebook.
