I didn’t love this book but the descriptions of Barcelona - in particular the culinary descriptions - have me ready to pack my bags. The story needed another edit. It could have been 50 pages shorter.

Cute

This was a strange, weird and heartwarming story that made me think. I think it was fine, but it was frustrating at times because they spoke about open communication but didn’t engage in it.

I gave this book three stars because it kept my interest, and I liked learning about Spanish food, but I'm always annoyed with characters who hide the truth from each other as Andy and Alice do.

Such a cute summer read! Highly recommend!

Listened to the audiobook. I loved that it was set in Barcelona, it took me a while to get into it. I wasn’t overly keen by her and her mums relationship, it did get irritating at times. It was frustrating how her and Andy’s relationship was just massively lacking communication. There were certain parts which I was unsure why they had relevance in the book but overall a good easy read.

what this book lacks in nuance it makes up for in cliches and insufferable main characters
