My students seem to like this book, so I gave it a try. I think because I read it as an adult, the nostalgic charm was lost on me. The only positive was the play on words, otherwise I thought there was a lot of filler description and dialogue that I subconsciously skipped over.

what a darling little story! reminded me of bluey and winnie the pooh and all my favorite kids movies because we all need a reminder sometimes that life is beautiful.
“it’s all in how you look at things” and “a colorful symphony” were my favorite chapters.
