Loved this book.
It follows a group of teenagers as they deal with love, loss, economic setbacks, friendships gone haywire, etc....all while living in a massive tower that has been constructed in the middle of NYC in the near future.
Very fun, almost sci fi-ish, almost soap opera, part mystery--good beach read.

Honestly, the ratio of characters to exposition, especially leading up to anything specific, is just...so high. 10 chapters in, and I still had no concept of story, and there are no character’s to even marginally root for. Too many themes, and far too dramatic for my taste. However, the opening scene WAS a grabber, the writing is done fairly well, and the concept overall, of this all-inclusive societal building in the future, is pretty cool.

Just so boring for something so dramatic.

This book is a book you need to give until the end. It's very character driven until the last 100 pages; then things pick up. I was going to rate this a 3 stars until the ending happened. I will admit, I sobbed for around 20 minutes and am writing this review two minutes after finishing. This book was amazing... I highly recommend, and when reading, it's very important to stay tuned until the end. I am in disbelief and I need answers. On that note, this book was amazing.
EDIT: Not as good as it has sat with me

Super soapy sci-fi, like Gossip Girl by way of Black Mirror. I appreciated all of the examples of rad future tech, especially the augmented reality theme park and of course the tower itself. Also very appreciated the diversity of characters and the nonchalant way some characters' bisexuality is introduced. And I know someone had to die at the end because that's how this genre goes, but for the victim to be the only person shown in a gay relationship really? Really?

Read in one sitting

El libro ha estado bien, dejando lugar para la segunda parte que aún no se sabe cuando sale. El punto en contra es que no te aclaras con los personajes hasta pasada la mitad del libro. Lo bueno es que tiene capítulos cortos

I ended up really enjoying this book, I'll be interested to see how the story continues in book 2
