Everyone in this book is an a$$hole and I love it.
I kept going back and forth between liking and loathing the three main female leads. But what I do know is that this was a thoroughly enjoyable read that hooked me in right from the beginning. I also appreciate the social commentary about Instagram and the influencer lifestyle. The ending was definitely not what I'd expected though I wouldn't have minded more drama

A sordid web, pinned together by a nasty spider (okay, just a women) and her obsessive friends. Totally fun. The short chapters and PoV switches really rounded this thing out and kept the important points under a spotlight (wise given just how many avenues desperation might've led down). Great book.
Fast enjoyable read.
Very predictable and not super deep characters.

4/5. I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed this book; none of the characters are great, but it's their stark imperfections that drew me in. The blurb on the back cover is a touch misleading as to how some of the events occur, but I enjoyed this dramatic, suspenseful ride.
Puply and propulsive, not good but not that bad, y'know? Was able to read 2/3 of it before bed and forget about it entirely until the next night. However, I have thought about it a few times since. (Jk I still think about it all the time a year later.)
Re-read 2023: enjoying an unhinged lady being unhinged book before I IDed as such!

the first third of this book, i couldn't put down. it had ominous vibes and felt like we were building up to something. but unfortunately the tone kind of remained the same through the entire book, even the end didn't feel as big as it could've been.
even though 'the swap' was the main reason for most things happening in this book, it wasn't described in a way that made it feel important or big. It felt a little basic by the end. personally, i like thrillers to be a little more dramatic (not villain monologue-dramatic but ykwim) but this just fell kind of flat in the end. however it wasn't bad and i'd recommend it to people who like slightly domestic and psychological thrillers!
3 stars

I found this compelling but also somewhat depressing! I didn't anticipate the twists and turns of the plot, which I liked, but overall I'm not sure I really enjoyed the book. Strange one.
