holy shit this was fucked and the characters need therapy - i loved it
Thank God I'm finally done with this book (Something I never thought would happen)
I know a thriller is supposed to be disturbing, but this one is just boring? extra disturbing? I lack the words.
I felt 0 empathy for the characters, who are all obsessing over Freya, the beautiful blonde, crazy manipulative bitch. The book is full of triggers (rape, vomiting, recreational drug use, scars, toxic relationships, infertility, death, blood) that just does not sit right and make the all experience unpleasant, and not just because the book is a thriller. This was not a good thrilling story. I'm glad I'm done with it.

3.5/5
Un verdadero "beach read". Un thriller doméstico que engancha, que quieres saber que es lo próximo que harán los personajes.

Free ebook, review is my own.
What a wild ride. This was definitely a very interesting book with a lot of layers. It was a bit overwhelming with everything that was occurring and each story line was so intense it could probably have been its own book.

The Swap is my second book by Robyn Harding and it definitely won't be my last.
While I wasn't that impressed by the plot overall, I was extremely and sort of weirdly fascinated the way the characters seemed to find more and more ways to screw up with their and other people's life, and I couldn't stop reading.
I literally finished it in two hours and had to take a moment to gather my thoughts once I was done with it.
Harding's writing is good, gripping, but not impressive, especially considering the multiple POVs all sound sort of the same.
A good 99% of the characters in this book were all deliciously unlikable and, even though some scenarios were too absurd to be believable (

It was dark and twisted but the end was so boring. The storyline deserved one more twist.
Let’s be honest. I chose to read this book right away based on the title. Expecting lots of graphic sex scenes. But there weren’t and I still loved every second of this story.
