Definitely different than what I normally read. I felt bad for Low at times but it made me worry for her how obsessed she was with Freya. I more felt bad for Max because he didn’t deserve half of what he went through in my opinion and the abuse he endured at the hands of Freya. Honestly what happened to Freya I feel was also deserved esp after going after her child. I was so thankful in the end that baby got better parents. Freya was EXTREMELY manipulative and I can’t believe people were so obsessed with her. But the thrill of it still had me enthralled, minus how weird I found the obsessions it was still good to me.

Special thanks to Robyn, NetGalley and Gallery Books for the advanced readers copy! This was another fantastic read!

Freya, the beautiful former social media influencer, Low, a lanky teenager with a crush and Jamie, the woman who yearns to be a Mom. Three very different personalities on a small, free island. This book explores abuse at the hands of a woman, crushes that are not reciprocated, lust, partner sharing, and so much more.

This read was addicting, it was hard to put down and easy to get into. It wasn’t a straight shot book that you can predict what will happen, you think you do but, the twists turn that around.

Robyn Harding is extremely talented and I loved The Arrangement, her last book so, I had a good feeling I’d love this one too and I was right. Highly recommend this one!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Do yourself a favor and read this!

This story is diabolical & twisted and full of toxic relationships. Everything that I DON'T look for in a book, at least not actively. However, I have been unable to put it down from the moment I read the first chapter so yes, this book deserves 4 stars for bordering close to a sinful delight.

This novel was on my highly anticipated list, as I had heard good buzz and was seeing great reviews. I read it quickly, in just one day. Yet, it wasn’t exactly as satisfying as I had hoped it would be.

I never quite felt as though the characters were fully developed. The most carefully developed was Swallow, the teen who lives in the small town with Freya, Max, Jamie and Brian. Her backstory is much deeper and simultaneously gives the backstory of this little seaside tourist town where unusual relationships are accepted and allowed to thrive. We get a bit more backstory about Max, a former hockey player with a violent past.

She becomes embroiled in these tangled relationships with the four adults, yet we never know much more than superficial details about the other characters. It feels a little faster than it needs to be. I was left wanting a little bit more. And some of the plot twists were a bit predictable to me, though the ending was somewhat of a surprise.

All in all, the writing was solid, told from the perspectives of many of the characters. Yet there are clues throughout if you read carefully, dear reader. I enjoyed this and in the end, I give it 3.5 stars and recommend to those who love domestic psychological thrillers.

Scandalous, juicy and obsessive.

This book is well manicured garbage. I'm not going to bother reading the authors other books. Don't waste your time.

Thanks for my ARC that I won from a giveaway on goodreads.
This is the first book from Robyn Harding and WOW. I want to get all of her other books. While I did have a hard time connecting with Low and Freya ( 2 of the 3 main characters of the story) it was an enjoyable read. The story was riveting and well written that grabbed me early on and kept me interested until the end. The ending was unexpected and overall I would highly recommend this book and the author.

This story was different and more modern! It took me a bit to get into but that was my own fault, I kept on falling a sleep everytime I turned it on but once I got it when I was awake I binged the whole thing and couldn’t put it down! At first I didn’t understand low character in then first of the story but by the end she was the most important to me, and I loved her growth even though she made me want to scream most times. This was a good thriller and I would definitely read more by this author!

Not literary fiction, but a solid family drama in an interesting setting.
