Oh how I've missed these fools...
Even after all these years, there's nothing I appreciate more than a good dose of Percy Jackson sarcasm and dry humor. This book was like finding an OVA for your favorite anime, which you thought would never have any more content. The stakes are not as high as they used to be, and the world is not gonna end if Percy Annabeth and Grover don't return that chalice, but you're having fun seeing them struggle to get into university. I almost cried a bit towards the end because of how much I've missed their dynamics...! Overall I think this is the perfect read for nostalgic people like me, who just miss their childhood heroes and wanna know what they're doing on a Tuesday morning.

I really wish my woke king Rick Riordan kept his promise to stop writing in the PJU but ig he could not turn down the paycheck lol. This was just so lazy, it felt like he smashed this out in very little time and just said "yeah that's good enough, sounds like Percy". It genuinely felt like a bad dupe, very formulaic and predictable and the tone was so odd because it sounded like someone doing a Percy jackson impression. This did make me want to reread the old ones to see if they hold up though or if I'm being too harsh now that it's been what 10 years since I read the original books.
