I have read the others in this series and I won't lie I fell for these men hard! That being said... This was a

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 stars

The only reason it's not 5 is because I couldn't get past the whole self loathing thing for much of the beginning. It drove me nuts! The whole I don't deserve her and I'm not good enough or he couldn't have feelings for me he likes her routine was just old.

But Luke saved the day. How he acted with addy was awesome. From his bossy alphaness to his sweet I'm gonna cook for you just about melted me. And Addy honestly wasn't hard not to like. The banter and witty comebacks she had was priceless and made me love her in the end. What I like most about this whole series of that your able to see each character in a whole new light and you can't help but love them as you learn more.

Overall great series and fantastic addition

Luke's Absolution is the third book in the Colloway Brothers series from K.L. Kreig. This is my first book from her and in this series, so I really had no idea what to expect. While this book is said to be a standalone, I would really suggest reading these in order if possible. Though I was able to enjoy most of the story starting here, there were a few times that things from the past were referenced yet not fully explained and it was confusing.

Luke Colloway has lived his life through a lot and has come back from it. He fell in love with his brother's girl and was forced to face the fact that he wouldn't ever have the same for himself. But then Addy Monroe changed everything. He knows he doesn't deserve her, but he will do whatever it takes to make her his. But just as it appears that Luke and Addy have a shot, Luke's past returns and threatens to ruin everything.

I liked both Luke and Addy. I felt like they had great chemistry, and you could feel the attraction between them. I will say that their connection felt rushed to me though, and while I did see some of it developing, I also felt like it wasn't entirely believable. Addy was so hesitant at first to protect herself and assumed that she knew Luke was just like guys from her past that had hurt her. But her dislike for him seemed to change almost over night and it just wasn't realistic to me. I did like that Luke was a good guy and that he was thoughtful and determined to show her he was interested in more than just sex. I just wish that I had been able to really see their connection develop into the strong bond that I believed was possible, and not just have it rushed and forced into being something that it wasn't yet.

I also had a problem with the first half of the book as far as pacing went. This book was slow to begin and part of that was because there was just so much internal dialogue, and it was very repetitive. Especially when it came to Luke. As much as I loved getting inside his head, it got old constantly seeing him struggle with not being good enough for Addy. The other thing that kept me from loving this book was all the build up to this massive conflict from Luke's past and when all was revealed, it just fell flat for me. He majorly overreacted and the whole thing was easily resolved and moved on from and it just was this huge let down to me. As much as I was wanting to love these two and this book, it was just okay for me. There were some great moments here, but sadly this wasn't what I had been hoping for. I still think that Luke and Addy were great together and were on their way to building something great together, but it just came off as rushed and forced and I would have liked things to have happened naturally where I could have had an easier time believing in them.

Luke's Absolution is the third installment in the Calloway Series. All the books in this series are stand alone novels but I recommend that you read them in the order they are written.
Luke Calloway is the "black sheep" in the Calloway family. He's tall, dark. brooding and his emotions are beautifully depicted in black and white all over his body. He doesn't believe he is deserving of anything because of his dark past, but he meets a Adeline, a woman that spits fire with her verbal lashings. He suddenlt realizes what he's missing and goes for it.
Adeline Monroe (Addy) wants someone to love her first and foremost. She's attracted to men who are in love with someone else and she is tired of being second. Her biggest weakness are men that are tall, dark and tatted, just like her brother's best friend. When her apartment is hijacked by the other owner of the lease, she has to figure out a way to keep her wits about her.
This and every other book in this series are a MUST READ! The characters are real, relatable and I feel as though everyone can connect with them on a personal level in some way.

K.L. Kreig is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. I can't wait to read the next installment!

I loved it immensely. I loved how author captured our interest towards the couple Luke and Addy from the prologue. Oh god, the tension they both had going on really made me hot and so bothered. Word after word, I kept reading to know what's going to happen. I was happy that Addy didn't give in easily and Loved how Luke didn't give up without a fight!! He knew what he wanted and went after him. the demons still plagued his mind but Addy silenced his storm, the beast raging in him and he wanted her. Even with his feeling for Livia, he knew nothing was going to happen. The scarifies he has made for the family made me for concerned and I fell in love with him so much!! He is a very honorable man. I really loved Addy, she was perfect for him. I loved their connection. Even with bad luck, she found a guy who gave her importance and who doesn't want that? Doesn't matter whether she was the first or the second option. She became the color for Luke <3

I will highly recommend this book to everyone! Do make sure to read in the order to understand better but it can be read as standalone.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. After months of obsessing over Addy Monroe, Luke Colloway takes advantage of an odd situation and moves himself into her apartment without her consent. Having not realized his name was also on the lease, she is helpless to stop him... yet this is the man that has occupied her heart and mind for years. Loving him from afar has been safer as she just can't imagine bad a$$ tattooed Luke ever returning her feelings or being able to commit to only one woman. What she doesn't realize is that Luke has fallen for her and is determined to make her understand that.. he promises to fight to the end to claim her. He is addicted and simply can't stay away.. not after getting a taste. This book was INCREDIBLE!! I've LOVED all the Colloway brother's stories and Luke & Addy's surely did not disappoint. I love nothing more than watching a hard bad boy turn into mush for his woman ;-) This book was overflowing with love and had me crying tears of joy. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommended!!!

I am very much enjoying this series. Each of the brothers is different but have the same values at heart and it has been interesting to read as each of them find the woman they were meant to be with. Luke's story was a bit more of an emotional roller coaster than the others just because we learn more about what he went through when he left his family and why. I love Luke as the bad boy and how he goes after Addy. An what can you say about Addy, except that she is his match. She is stubborn and feisty yet her past has left her with some vulnerabilities. It was wonderful to watch these two characters work through their issues and become the couple they are supposed to be.

I will be digging into Conn's story next and looking forward to it.

I enjoyed Luke so far more than any of the other brothers!
Kreig seemed to have a steady flow with these characters almost easily. it was nice. We really got a chance to see their love unfold. unlike with Gray and Livia it was kind of just love at first sight and intense sex. but with each book she adds a little more. more story more character development so on.
I REALLYYY wish I had a Luke.. like come on baby we can conquer those demons together.

I kinddddd of figured out the plot twist mid way through but dammit Kreig knows how to put a damn plot twist on TOP OF A PLOT TWISTTTT. i was flying through the end of that book like no tomorrow lol now I'm down to the last brothers book (Conn) and I cant lie I'm a little sad. .

I absolutely loved the way these men love their women and fight for them. dedicate themselves to them its refreshing. At time their possessiveness and Hallmarky quotes were a little annoying. The only thing that annoyed me in this book was the constant use of the nickname Fireball but only like 30% of the time. the rest of the time I was like

And I swear their mother is who I strive to be lol shes perfection. The family vibes in this book is strong and I love that as well.

All in all bravo K.L Bravo!
