Short and sweet. I do wish there were about 20-40 more pages but I loved it.

I'm also very confused about Alexis' timeline...but, she's a magic sword so it doesn't really matter lol

currently rereading the whole series and gave this one a shot. a delightful quickie (lol) of a listen as an audiobook.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Mead Mishaps series, so definitely needed to read this short novella. And I'm glad I did!

The romance between the main characters aside, this was also Alexis's origin story - which was what made the book for me. Alexis is by far my favourite character in the series.

I also appreciated the way this novella was seamlessly mentioned in book 2 of the series. There were no gaps between the two and everything neatly aligned.

It's also nice to go back to this fantasy world and meet all new characters (besides Alexis, none of the other previous characters are mentioned in this book).

The story is short and sweet. Skip the audiobook, accents are terrible and all over the place.
