So my definition of this book is Romeo and Juliet gone horribly right.
This one was aggravating. I didn't like where the story took us in this one as much. I am happy to have a resolution to the story but I am still left curious of what happens next with Mara's family and Noah's family. And what happened to Stella. I had to know if Noah was alive so of course I looked ahead. I wish he had re-entered the story sooner. I also didn't like that they told everyone Noah was dead. I wish it had just been missing since he and Mara both die later.
Overall, I enjoy the love story more than anything else and I did think the ending was better than I expected.

Retribution of Mara Dyer is the perfect conclusion to the trilogy. Much like the previous books this book loves to mess with you mentally. You would think that you would know what was going on or who was the evil mastermind but one second it would change and you will be at square one again. This book is amazing with the use of certain characters like Doctor Kell and her twisted and dark experiments, Jamie and his amazing personality and awesome reference to act as comedic relief in a dark storyline. With all the twists and turns, the relationship between Jamie and Mara and, The return of Noah and even some chapters in Noah's perspective will keep readers entertained through out the story. If I wasn't in school right now I would of sat down and refused to move until I had finished this amazing book

I wanted to love this book, this series, so much. I just don't know what went wrong. It has all the elements of books I love.... Oh well. I liked it?
Overall the trilogy was: Hilarious. Twisted & Messy. I love it!
A heart-pounding, edge-of-your-seat ending to one of my very favorite YA trilogies I've ever read. If the story alone wasn't enough to get me (it is), the beautiful, poetic writing had me marveling at every turn. This is definitely the kind of writing I aspire to....
