I found the ending of this trilogy satisfying. It wasn't perfect. I expected more in some ways but honestly, I was happy with how things ended. Balance. Order. And it was an exciting adventure. One battle and trial followed by another. The flow sometimes seemed a bit rushed. But my rating is based on my overall enjoyment of the book and the ability to be transported away from reality. This did just that. This may not be for everyone. But I am not a great critic because I am looking for some to help me escape. I don't require perfection. I enjoyed Kallik immensely in this and she exhibited so much growth. She sacrificed much for everyone.

disappointed

I’m disappointed in the ending of the book. I feel like Allie and Lan deserved a better HEA. The sacrifice they have to make for the future of the fae… just didn’t settle well with me. The writing is great still. I loved Kik.. he’s hilarious.

I am torn. I am sad this series is done, but also happy it has concluded. The continual character development was amazing, yet I feel we still needed more. It would be an interesting spin off to do something with Underhill and what happened with her.

I find myself resonating with Alli and all of the baloney she went through as a child to get to where she is now. Everything in our pasts shape who were are today and Alli realizes this at the end.

There is so much complexity to this story that so much could be explored. The magic system, the different types of fae, the complexities of political systems and friendships.

Though not a very helpful review on my part, I would recommend this series, especially if you are a fan of Sara J Mass and Jennifer L Armentrout.

I was worried for a bit

First because I hate bad endings—this does have a happily ever after. With some hints I actually guessed the curveball ending but thought it was probably too far fetched. Lan can be an idiot, but he grows up in this book. Definitely recommend.
