Unfortunately after The Fall of Bradley Reed being one of my favourite reads this year, I was really looking forward to the rest of the books in this series but this one wasn't for me. Whilst the idea was good, I didn't connect with the writing and considered dnfing at the 75% mark as it was quite repetitive. The same conversation between the FMC and MMC was happening every other chapter which made it drag for me.

While I enjoyed the story, there were way too many grammatical and typographical errors for me to ignore. A good editor should have caught errors like "angel" instead of "angle" or "there" instead of "their."

The book is written in dual, first person POV, but randomly in chapter 44, there are both POVs when it should definitely only one of the characters. It's as if the author forgot which character's chapter she was writing.

3.75 stars ✨. I loved this it was so wholesome and the relationship was perfect with no third act breakup because the characters knew how to (you guess it) COMMUNICATE! I loved how much he cared for her kids and it was very cute! However it did kinda feel like a short Christmas novella but it was so fun!!

DNF. Almost half way in and it was still just Shae arguing with people over and over. Girl, get yourself some therapy— you are EXHAUSTING! I couldn’t handle it anymore.

ALSO, crotchet and knitting are not interchangeable. Crochet is done with a hook, knitting has needles *eye twitch*

I read this last year and have no idea why it never got logged. Ignore the cheesy title, it's actually really cute. It was probably my favorite holiday read last year. Perfect mix of sweet, steamy, and cheery. If you're looking for those things this upcoming holiday, bookmark this one.

This would’ve had a higher rating if there weren’t glaring typos and formatting errors.

Ohhh

Overall I enjoyed this one, and liked the writing. However- it was SUPER children focused
