The story was adorable af. The editing was rough in parts. Overall a spicy cute romcom. Definitely helps get in the mood for Christmas time

This was so sweet and cozy. Nick was perfection. I loved the way he won over Shay and the girls. It was paced beautifully In my opinion. Definitely gave Christmas hallmark movie vibes. And who doesn’t love those??
Ok, I have to write a review because I though this book would be so typical. It was soo much more and so well written. I could not stop reading it. Nick is so well written and I am sure there are men out there like him. He’s kind and living but understanding and patient. He like/love is not obsessive or oppressive. The healing journey is beautiful. Just an overall spicy, sweet and healing book. Must read for everyone.

I enjoyed this book, especially the way Nick was with Shae’s daughters. The epilogue was especially sweet. And I loved the references to Damien and Abbie.
However, I didn’t always love how this book was written. Many times during conversations I would lose track of who was saying what because the dialogue was broken up in a confusing way. There was also a chapter in which the author flipped back and forth at random from whose POV it was in. One paragraph was Nick’s first person inner dialogue and the next paragraph was Shae’s first person inner dialogue. It was very confusing trying to figure who the “I” was for each paragraph.
And I know he wasn’t the focus of the story and he was just a catalyst for Nick & Shae to get together, but why didn’t we have more of Connor?? Obviously he introduces them and talks on the phone with his dad a couple of times but that’s basically it. From what we saw of him, he seemed really sweet and caring. He was supposedly good friends with Shae & her daughters love him but after the first part of the book they never interact again that we see. And when Nick, Shae, & the girls celebrate Christmas at the end, why wasn’t Connor there? He’s part of the family too! But there was no mention of him.
