“A fucking Christmas miracle is what we are, two people finding each other randomly and fitting so perfectly.”
I can’t believe I didn’t want to read this story when I love everything written by Morgan Elizabeth. I don’t particularly like cowboys or single-parent romances so I was skeptical at first, I will never doubt Morgan Elizabeth again! Omg this book was so cute, very funny, and such a feel-good, heart-warming Christmas story. Nick might be my favorite male character written by Morgan Elizabeth of all time

This was a super cute, cosy Christmas read with a sprinkle of spice and everything nice. I'm so happy I finally managed to not only find a festive read I enjoyed but also actually finished! I've not had much luck recently, so let's hope this is the start of the good holiday books!
Nick, Nick, Nick. Now, if I'm being honest if this man wasn't in the book, there would be no point. He absolutely makes the entire story. From beginning to end, he was absolutely perfect. This man went above and beyond for Shae and her girls, and it was absolutely adorable. Shae had been through so much, so her character was quite rightly heavily guarded, and whilst I liked her and understood why she was so hesitant, over time, she became a little repetitive for me. I wanted those walls down, but it felt like we never really got fully there.
Their story together was super cute. Their daily interactions setting up the Elf for the kids, Nick slowing implementing himself into their lives, the farm, and animals. It all has this cosy Christmas vibe, and I was here for it. I'm sad the son seemed to trickle out of the story completely, given he was the whole reason they even met, but hey, I still enjoyed it nonetheless.
Overall, I enjoyed this one. It did get a little repetitive into the middle, but the start and finish made up for it. I would definitely recommend giving it a try, and I would probably read it again in the future.

Who knew Elf on the Shelf could inspire such a cute and steamy love story!? Shae was a badass mom trying her best to get through the holidays and take care of her girls. Nick just wanted to be the one to take care of Shae. I loved that this story showed how Shae was so guarded, yet that didn’t deter Nick. He was such a patient and kind man and really made sure Shae knew how much he cared for her and her babies. This was definitely the perfect feel good Christmas romance and the ending was absolutely adorable *cries in daddy issues*, but for real I love Morgan’s stories and this was no different 💕
