I will say that I haven't read the first books in this series but that didn't bother me at all. I absolutely adored Big Nick Energy ❤️

This holiday romance was so, so good

This book surprised me.

I was expecting a cheesy Christmas story.

What I got was a very endearing tale about a single mom, her daughters and the man that helped them heal.

It did feel a little slow in spots, but overall it was great. The smut was a little out of place IMO.

a simple, fun read! perfect the christmas season

I’m a sucker for a hot dad hahaha

The line between him being her love interest or a serial killer was very fine. It gave me the ick so many times.

Idk what I was expecting out of this book (or maybe I do), but what I read wasn’t it. Idk, thought it was lacking?
I understand Nick had been falling for her for 9 months before they officially met, but it just felt a bit too much. Idk.
I also wasn’t a fan of the h all that much. Meh!

I totally understand why some readers may have an issue with the pacing, but it works for the characters. It completely makes sense for someone like Shae to be apprehensive about a potential new love interest. She had experienced emotional trauma for 10 years! Of course, she would build these big walls to protect herself and her daughters.
I loved how Nick continually showed up for Shae, and was extremely patient with her. He never rushed her and always did things on her terms, so it is a slow burn for sure. But seeing Shae warm up to Nick and see their chemistry slowly grow was one of the most organic things I've read. During the spicy scenes, Nick always made sure that Shae always had enthusiastic consent. Even in the Epilogue, Nick never rushed their relationship.
This book definitely brings the Christmas magic, something I'll definitely pick up again during the holiday season. I might even prefer it to "Tis the Season For Revenge" This is up there with one of my favorite/memorable book couples.
