Okay so... cowboy in the city, cute... single mom/dad finding love again, cute... the girls, adorable... but I just could not get over how quickly it all happened. Like, he falls in love with her not actually having met her and then just casually inserts himself into her and her kids lives?? Idk, alarm bells were ringing all over the place for this woman and her two children. You're letting a man you barely know into your home? If I met some random guy on the internet and then his dad was like Hey, I'm coming to your house every night of December to set up this stupid fucking elf, I would be so creeped out. And then in barely a week you're letting him tuck your girls into bed? For a woman who got out of an abusive relationship this seems sketchy and not at all protective of her girls. And him calling them "our girls" after a month of knowing them? It just gave me the ick so many times.
4.5⭐
No third act breakup, AND I cried? Excellent. It would have only been made better with a conclusion about the asshole abusive ex.
Bonus that they talked shit about that creepy fucking elf.

Despite the title, this was such a cute, wholesome Christmas story. I wouldn’t have been surprised if Nick ended up being Santa at the end.
Just drivel really, but I slogged to the end because I enjoyed her other books.
