Some of the tweets were hilarious, and actually gave a decent summary of the books events from what I remember. Could due without some of the cursing though, it got to be a bit excessive.

The funny died about halfway through. It actually was quite funny parts, and I did laugh or chuckle a bit and read them aloud to whoever was near by (occasionally the cat), but some of them didn't quite work so well.

Some of my favourites-

From Wuthering Heights: The house is now mine. Since the neighbour has Catherine, I'll seduce his sister. We'll see how brave he is when she's got Heathcock in her.

Mrs Dalloway: Perhaps I should jump out of a window too, that might get me away from this ridiculous oppressive society.

Or a river. Yeah, that's it. A river.

Medea: Ran inside with a sword before Jason could stop me. Didn't want the kids to hear us arguing, so I took them to a better place - the freezer.

And so on.

But after a dozen or so Twitter stories in a row, the lulz started to disappear. I wouldn't recommend reading this book in one sitting, but rather spread it out. Otherwise it tends to get dry as fast as some of the stories it's mocking. But it's a fun lark otherwise.

2 stars because a couple of the tweets made me laugh. Not nearly as clever as I had hoped/expected.

Classic dudebro humour right here — most of the entries aren't even remotely funny. Don't bother.

Some funnies but I wasn't up on all the literary works that were parodied so some of it went over my head. Great idea. Hope they do a dumbed down sequel.. ;)

A unique idea, this will definitely appeal to Twitter fans. The context of the stories is sometimes lost, and it might seem unintelligible at times. However, its humor makes it a fun read.

Cute idea and funny. Also crazy and sometimes crass, but still interesting.

Four words sum up this book perfectly: great idea, awful execution.

It was almost tolerable. It annoyed me that some of the events in the famous novels were mixed up, and that there was far too many references to male genitalia. It wasn't exactly ny sense of humour.
Lots of obscure, less known classics used which was interesting.
Despite how critical they were of many classics, they seemed to go soft on Twilight. So much squandered comic potential there.
I did learn some new words and phrases though. 'Pederast' for one, though I fail to see exactly how useful that will be to me.
Glossary at the end was ok.
Could have had the Twitter format info / glossary at the beginning to help those 'luddites' understand more.

some funny bits but mostly nothing special. wasn't a fan of some of the ones for female written books. overall probably would have been better if it was written by a woman
