Heartwarming story leaves you wanting the best outcome for each of the characters.  The descriptions of the nature makes you feel like you are really in the woods.  This descriptiveness makes it feel slightly slow paced at times, but some adventure or twist and turn comes around the corner and keeps you on your toes.  Very enjoyable

A solid read, my one question I had at the end was how did they get the horses home?

I found it very hard to get into this story and didn’t relate to any of the characters. I finished it but only because I’m no quitter. I found it boring in places. A little predictable in the end.

This book sounded like it would be right up my alley and I was excited to read it. Ultimately, I liked it overall, but I was a bit disappointed that I didn't connect with it more. This may be a book that I would have enjoyed more on paper than on audio.
