I read this book for Lannie Tonti's book club when I was visiting her in San Francisco. It was a very enjoyable book, with lots of layers that made for good discussion. Some really well defined characters, some were barely sketched. Some were truly horrible people!

Fan-friggin-tastic. Could be my favorite so far. Pre-cursor to Lolita or not, this gem is recommended to all.

An alternate reality of Lolita where she's older and
scams and shoots her groomer.
I like it.
