Yes, captain is all of the above, and most importantly, he is even more than that. However, I will not spoil the surprise for you. You will have to discover what lies under the mask of a this handsome playboy on your own.

But when it comes to Kendall Sparks, well, I have mixed feelings. Maybe it's because I'm not able to understand her dilemma, money or love. For me, this is the obvious choice. But Kendall personality does not quite fit to the type of spoiled and foolish material girl. She is funny and sweet and very confused and quite lost. And this is the reason she decided to follow Carter - to find answers.
“We’re both fucked up. Maybe that’s what it is. Maybe we see a little of ourselves in each other. We’re two wrongs that somehow make a right. Inseparable we’re miserable, but together…we somehow work. I know this isn’t a simple situation. I know you have decisions to make.”
This book was so gripping that I just couldn't put it down. It was even more interesting and fascinating thanks to the constant change of scenery. Of course, it could not miss an element of drama and plot twists. I love the feeling when reading their books you think you already know how it will ends and suddenly ... BOOM ... something is changing and your whole theory is drained in the toilet.

I can't believe I enjoyed this book so much. I honestly loved the new ambiance that I was set in, I got to travel a few countries as fast as I finished this book. I love the characters, and the fact that Carter was such a big Beatles fan sold me out.
By the 3rd of the book I was about to be done for it, but I still continued to read and I'm really a sucker for this kind of trope. The plot was very Vi Keeland-ish. I can't wait to read more books with her collaboration with Penelope Ward.
