Sadly, I really didn't like this book. The writing is great, but the story just fell flat for me. I found it boring and predictable. Kendall's life story just made me roll my eyes. Carter does act the playboy, but has a really good heart. The 2 of them together was a snooze. For a book about a sexy pilot and travels all over the world, it was a huge disappointment.

I loved this story so much from how they met to their journey to get to their HEA. I am completely in love with Carter and Kendall. I can not wait to reread this story!! LOVED IT!

BLOG REVIEW
A funny & engaging romance.
Carter is the standard pilot man-whore with a taste for music. He's beautiful and has a quick wit. He doesn't waver once he's committed & doesn't succumb to old habits.
Kendall is struggling with her own problems, attempting to flee into the skies. This chance transforms & teaches her the actual meaning of life.
I loved their chemistry, the jokes, the striving for adventure & the songs. This story will have you laughing, swooning, hurting, and rejoicing and will ultimately leave you with a happy journey

This is another former lothario falling head over heels for his perfect girl. To be fair, he was kind of tired of how he'd been living his life, so meeting Kendall was just serendipity. We start this one with Kendall trying to decide where to go from an airport lounge. Carter sits next to her at the bar, causes her to spill her drink on her (apparently) expensive shirt, then proceeds to douse her with seltzer water to try to get the stain out. Or to try to make this into a wet t-shirt contest. Really not sure of his true intentions, lol, but he gets an eyeful when he realizes she's not wearing a bra. Anyway, he recommends she fly to Rio, and she decides to go with his recommendation, thinking maybe he's a fellow traveler. She has no idea he's the pilot.

They have a great few days in Rio, during which she confesses her family's dire straits and her plan to become inseminated with a gay German couple's baby in order to fulfill the requirements of a will. Rio turns into Dubai (where she gets arrested for dancing in public) and then Amsterdam... and finally Boca, where she truly figures out Carter isn't just the lothario his flight staff implies he is. But she still has this will and a ticking clock hanging over her head. Just when she thinks she's made a decision about that, Carter's past rears its head in an unexpected way, and Kendall basically runs away. Neither one of them really get over their relationship, and when Carter finally finds her again, they work through some issues and make up for lost time, and when life happens to someone close to Carter, Kendall is there for him when he needs her. It was a really sweet story of finding true love.

not sure if being a flight attendant made it difficult to accept the story or what, but I couldn’t finish the book. Most pilots are NOT even close to Carter in age or personality. Then the last minute international flights? The love part? Idk. It just didn’t work for me. All it did was remind me why I don’t read anything where inflight crew is a big part of the story.

I just have to say, where the heck have all the hot pilots been hiding? Every time I’ve flown, I’ve gotten the old ugly guys. I would have loved to have found a “Trip” of my own when I was younger. I would have jumped at joining the mile high club. Playboy Pilot is the first time I’ve gotten a chance at reading something by the dynamic duo of Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. I’ve read their solo stuff but never got around to any of the co-written stuff. So when I won a paperback ARC of Playboy Pilot, I squealed. Loudly. I think my neighbors across the state lines probably heard me.

I have to say, I’m now kicking myself for not jumping on this Keeland-Ward bandwagon sooner. This book was fantastic. Carter was cocky, confident and charming. Just downright delectable and I wanted to eat him up. If he’s an example of the men these two dream up, I’m going to be one-clicking their books from now on starting with the ones I’ve missed. Kendall is sassy and takes no crap from Carter. It was fun watching them banter and feed off each other.

I thought this was going to be a fun and flirty novel about a reckless love affair. And don’t get me wrong, there was a lot of humor between these pages. But what I got was so much more. It was a heartwarming story about overcoming your past to fight for love. There are so many layers to each character, they are beautifully flawed and wonderfully complex. And I loved that I couldn’t tell where one author stopped and another began, the story flowed flawlessly.

I cannot wait to see what this duo comes up with next. If you haven’t had a chance to read this one, buy it today. This is one trip you don’t want to miss.
