2022 Popsugar Reading Challenge - A book with a constellation on the cover or in the title

I picked this book up as an audiobook after a friend recommended it to me. I was really good. I always enjoy the fake dating trope. The chemistry between Darcy and Elle was great and I was rooting for them to end up together. I also like all of the little astrological tidbits included in the book. A sweet romance that I thoroughly enjoyed. Can't wait to continue the series.

I'm so trash at reviews lately but I really liked this book! It was everything.

Written in the Stars is about a woman named Darcy who after a bad date, is desperate to stop her brother from setting her up on more blind dates. So she lies and tells him that her last date was a hit. Only Darcy doesn't expect the lie to come back around. Elle is one of the astrologers behind a popular Twitter account and dreams of finding her soul mate. Darcy is the exact opposite of what Elle thinks her soul mate would be. When Darcy's brother turns out to be Elle's new business partner, it's awkward when he mentions how good their date went. Darcy begs Elle to play along and suddenly they are fake dating for the holidays.

I need more books like this oh my god. This is a sapphic romance that never mentions anything about gay struggles. Their romance is treated just like hetero romances and that was *chef's kiss*. Sapphic books end up getting emo SO often and I just can't stand it. Reading a cute romance just hits different. Plus I am absolute trash for the fake dating trope in general. Darcy and Elle were SO cute together and I loved their chemistry. Heart EYES. The fact that they were complete opposites was cute.

The drama made sense and I knew it was going to happen but oh my god I wanted to grab them and squish their faces together. I do wish there had been more christmas vibes but I've been watching crappy netflix christmas romances that are insanely christmas so anything else is minimum.

This is not the most exciting romance I have ever read but it was sweet and cute. There were some decent conflicts and chemistry that gave a nice balance. I love the lesbian and bisexual representation in the story. The astrology theming was also quite cute. I don't think this one will be super memorable but I enjoyed listening to it.
