This was a good read. The writing flowed well, and I thought that Dayton and Summer were good together. There wasn't off the charts chemistry for them to me, but I could see them as a couple. Dayton had a lot of problems after coming home from the war, and the things that happened after. It took him a long time to believe that he was worthy of anything. Summer was pretty stubborn about Dayton believing that he wasn't good enough for her. She stuck it out, and made him believe. There are some twists and turns along the way, but everything works it's self out in the end. You're sort of left hanging at the end, but it's more of a set up for the next book. Dayton and Summer's story is complete. I can't wait to read Wes's story!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

VERY quick read. Sorta cute? Pregnancy tropes really aren’t my thing and this book was very heavy on the pregnancy aspect. Wasn’t bad wasn’t great.

I don’t usually like or read books with military in it. I didn’t know it would be in this book and honestly I was bummed at first. But as I continued reading I was glad I did. Amelia Wilde does a great job describing the scenes, the feelings, the issues, and everything in between. You can’t help but feel for Dayton and all his thoughts. Many feel they are not heroes and should not be treated like one. Summers love for Dayton has grown since she was a child. She crushed on her brothers best friend, and wanted him to see her for her. Dayton was there for her but didn’t push boundaries. Fate has them meeting up years later and they get their chance to be together. Summer helps Dayton fight his inner demons in a way only she can. They love they share is strong and once Dayton is able to realize he deserves it there is nothing that can get in their way.

Like, many problems and plot holes and just general lack of explanation. But, shrugs. Gotta just suspend all that reality. Day is hott. Or at least he is in my head. Plot holes forgiven.
