"Part of the beauty of a woman with child is her curves, wife, and you'll not deprive me of the ones I bestowed on you by 'keeping fit'." Lets just take a minute and appreciate that line of literary awesomeness there. Ive never had a child but I sent that to my sister and she blew it up and she framed it on her wall so thank you Kristen Ashley for that one :)

I liked this book. There was a whole lot going on. I am SOOOO glad that he knows that she isn't the real princess. I have read books where they try to hide that and I feel like I'm going to have a panic attack so I love that this book didn't do that and that Frey just found it amusing. It is a long book but it is worth it. It made me happy

Still love this book!
fast-paced

I didn't think I would get into these, but it was an OK read!

KA can write anything!!! She knocked this romantic fantasy out of the park!! Loved this whole concept and the characters and Frey Drakkar!!! Yum!

A really good fantasy.
Mostly fast paced.
I had a hard time to determine how old Finnie was. Some times I thought she was in her mid-/ late twenties, but the next paragraph she behaves like a 15 year old... That was a bit annoying, but I could push past those times.
I like my fantasy stories to have a rich world building. This had that. However, the descriptions could at times be a bit excessive. Do I really need a full page description of the hero the first time the heroine sees him? And do I need the same later on when they almost consummate their marriage?
Still most of the descriptions were called for and made the world alive.

Loved this book! Very fun read!

My honest opinion is I didn’t like it. It was very wordy, and the MC was not a deep character. What makes my skin crawl is all the sexism and how the women are portrayed. No thank you.

Fantastic book

Fantastic book by KA... I absolutely loved it. Finnie was an endearing and lovely heroine as well as Frey who was a fantastic alpha male of the book. I actually had a panic moment when Finnie thought Frey had died but I held on because I know KA loves that HEA as much as her readers.... five stars of entertainment!

You, everything about you is beyond my wildest dreams.

Gah! Re-reading that quote still gives me chills. And I think that's what I've come to love most about Kristen Ashley's books is that you can feel those highs and lows just as hard as the character does. The Fantasyland series is unlike anything else she's ever written. Don't get me wrong, you still get a bad-ass alpha, a sassy and cute heroine, and an epic love story, but this time there is magic.

You weren’t born princess, Finnie Drakkar, but that does not mean you’re not one.

I have been trying to review all the books I've read in my hiatus and while I read Golden Dynasty and Fantastical years ago (Book #2 and #3) I didn't read Wildest Dreams until just a few weeks ago. I'm not sure exactly why I read it out of order, and why I waited so long to set that to rights, but I did and I'm kicking myself because Frey and Finnie are everything. Frey is your typical KA alpha. He is bossy, thick-headed, infuriating, but oh so dreamy. And Finnie is absolutely adorable. She wears her heart on her sleeve and the reasons for how she ended up in this world made me a bit misty-eyed. There is so much character behind Finnie. But the two of them? The banter, the passion, the Adlea Tea (ZOMG! I didn't know such a thing existed here and it is AWESOME) was so damn satisfying.

She waits for me at windows and buys me dragons. There are reasons we walk this earth, I’m coming to realize mine.

I think part of my fear of reading the rest of this series after Golden Dynasty was a fear of them living up to how grand that book was. But I should have given KA a little more faith because Wildest Dreams stands on its' own. It's entirely magical, impossibly romantic, and if you read in order, such a introduction into this mesmerizing series. I'm so happy to now have the first two books available on audio because I plan on re-reading this ASAP.
