a pretty good ending to this series!
they weren’t afraid to kill off characters and it really made you feel the stakes for how dangerous this final battle was. i thought there were a couple goofy story beats of Firestar just not understanding things that were really obvious, kinda just for the sake of keeping the story going. i also wish that Scourge could’ve done a little more.. i remember him being such a big character from this series but he barely appears in the last book, and he isn’t even in it that much.

This series is just so chaotic. I forgot a lot of what happened in this one (I’ve only read Darkest Hour a couple times), so it was a nice surprise. The pacing was a little weird, though.
