loved this one! adored both characters; the strong-willed vampire slaying FMC, and the quiet, introverted MMC (turned vampire)
i loved the inclusion of the diary entries, gossip papers, historical documents, and poems. it added more depth to the plot & overall story
the pacing dipped a bit in the middle, and i felt my connection to the story waver slightly, but overall it was beautifully written and ended on such a sweet note 🥹

I really enjoyed is book and I think who like is serpent & dove by Shelby Mahurin may like is book also I really like the cover of book. The writing was okay and it was easy to follow also the ending of book was perfect. The atmosphere was well done and both the world building and the magic system was fine but I would like it to be flash out. The paced of plot was well structured and steady paced. I like the characters, I didn't like Carolina in the beginning but she grew on me. I really like Lalo and found him well written.

Solid YA, very comfortable book. I liked the lore they gave the vampires and I enjoyed a lot of the interplay between the characters. The story wasn't anything groundbreaking but it was a nice read.
