The other reviews weren’t lying about the fmc. The fmc thought process to keep the baby a secret was far fetched. She should have listened to her best friend, leaning on the male friend was frustrating. I can’t believe the mmc forgave her with her having barely any remorse.

Least favorite book of the series and pretty disappointing because Hayden is a great mmc.

DID NOT FINISH: 11%

Maybe it's the fact that I was listening to the audiobook, but I did not care for the fmc. Also I just didn't really care about any of the characters and can't find a good reason to keep reading. I

Very entertaining and riveting, if somewhat frustrating. Hayden is a great character, a pro hockey player, ripped and gorgeous, but more than that, a gentleman with tender feelings. He’s not a player, but more of a homebody. When he meets Adalyn at his childhood town, he’s struck by her feistiness and great humor. He says it was like a punch to his heart.

Adalyn is one of those cautious women, who was hurt in a previous fling and is now wary of relations. She only has one-night stands, prefers to have short flings than a serious relation. As she and Hayden start texting, dating and chatting, she’s very attracted but still very hesitant. His constant attentions made her fall in love with him and at first, she was very feisty. But then, when Hayden is drafted, she lets him go because she doesn’t believe the relation will survive the long distance. She suddenly turned scaredy-cat!

Later she finds she’s pregnant, but withholds the information from Hayden and lets her friend Logan take over the role of caretaker. The same guy who hurt her in the past. I could understand not wanting to take a risk with a long-distance relationship, but on this she turned selfish and cruel. I started disliking her at this point.

I found Adalyn tiresome. She’s one of those persons who will not take any risks and will rather suffer heartbreak than trust a person who has been steadfast and truthful. Then she goes and relies on the one person who hurt her in the past. Clearly, she has bad instincts, and makes bad decisions; you can tell how smarmy Logan is from the start. She was also stubborn, since her good friends were insisting she call Hayden and she refused. I couldn’t believe she was so deluded and let herself be manipulated by Logan.

There were some great parts in the book, dialogues were heartfelt, the texting between Hayden and Adalyn was funny and entertaining, and Hayden was one heck of a guy. Adalyn was not remarkable; she loved Hayden but didn’t have the guts to go after her heart. She hurt Hayden any times; she didn’t deserve such an outstanding guy!

First off I don't think Meghan can put out a book that isn't 5 stakes from me. I love this book, in fact at parts I was getting so annoyed with a character I had to go and peek and see how it would end. I know, I know we shouldnt do that. But damn this book is that good I had to know.
This book is told from two p.o.v.'s and that is nice when you can get to read two sides to a story. I just adore Hayden, I think I found a new book boyfriend. We need more books with him. ( Hint, Hint ) Hayden is an extremely great hockey player. But from one incident on the ice and a not so nice answer in an interview brings Hayden back home with his best friend.
Never would he have thought coming home to clear his head would he meet the woman of his dreams. Adalyn is a character whom I liked throughout the book. She doesn't take crap from anyone, but also doesn't really let anyone in. But when she meets Hayden she feels something for him besides attraction. Adalyn just doesn't realize it yet that he is the man who will break down her walls.
I will say it during the last half of the book Adalyn really and I mean really annoyed me. I was thinking come on you are smarter and better then this. You honestly didn't realize..... I don't want to give away any spoilers. Except we do get to see Hayden's side of the date when he meets Noely.

I found Addison to be incredibly selfish, self centred and to completely undeserving of Hayden. He was a great guy and she kept playing games with the men in her life. Using their feelings for her and using them.  I normally love Meghan Quinn’s books and her heroines. But I just got angry with Addison at the second half of the book and I stayed angry. So selfish and refusing to communicate- to open her mouth and expressing herself.

After reading “Three Blind Dates” I always wondered about the girl Hayden couldn’t get past. Now we know that we probably already met her: Emma’s best gal pal, Adalyn another nurse from “My Best Friend’s Ex.”

It’s all tied together in all the stories set in Binghamton. I think. It’s somewhere in upstate New York.

Anyway....Hayden meets Adalyn at a party at Racer’s and they have an instant connection. Taking the physical aspect of a relationship (wtf?) off the table (again wtf?) Hayden wants to show Adalyn how special she is. Finally there is a breaking point where SHE pushes him to consummate their relationship which is off the charts! So blissful. So all consuming and caught up in the moments she realizes she forgets to take her birth control the same time Hayden, a professional hockey player, finds out he’s traded across the country

So that’s it. She’s pregnant, they’re done, he’s across country and meets Noely through an online dating app. She’s so into Hayden, he treats her like a princess but can’t get into a physical relationship which sets off alarm bells with Noely and leaves Hayden feeling like he has to get closure with Adalyn.

Who has a baby bump! Say what!

Look I love everything Quinn writes, she’s makes me laugh and sigh at the live. This is another winner. Love seeing the relationships throughout all the books. This is another winner!

Hayden was a great MMC from start to finish.
Adalyn on the other hand lost her goddamn mind after the first half of the book. Wanting to hide a baby from the father, she broke up with because it was inconvenient for her that he got (involuntarily) traded, and then still pushing him away every chance she gets while he wants a relationship and to care for her and their child. And the worst part being this love triangle she creates just because she can’t for the life of her communicate anything. I wanted to slap some sense into her.
Hayden honestly deserved better.

This is a wild ride of a book. It has some of the best humor and the most heartbreaks I've read in a long time.

Hayden was date #3 from the first book in the series so this book does crossover part of that one, from his perspective. You don't need to read these in order though. The 3 books are standalones so there is no read need to read them in order, but you do learn about all the ones we met in book 1.

A wild and short romance that happens between Hayden and Addie. Then it comes to a screeching halt, when he's traded. (And it's HER that does the breakup) Then she finds out she's pregnant and doesn't want to tell him. So she leans on her "friend" Logan, (who I hated from the first meeting). Things go into high gear when Hayden DOES find out.

There were plenty of laughs, and some spicy steam, but the heartache that happens right at the ends was intense! Like, REALLY intense.

5-stars!

We finally get Hayden's story!! You guys have no idea how much I have been dying for this one and I was definitely not disappointed. I picked this up the minute I saw it on my kindle. I dropped everything to read. This story was sweet and fun and so incredibly swoony. I loved every minute of it and I could not put this book down. Meghan always creates amazing heroes and I can't wait to read what she comes up with next!
