Wow this was such a poignant story that I simply couldn't put down. All of the perspectives were so interesting to read from and the relationships between the characters were psychologically very well developed. The reason why this book is not as memorable for me as it perhaps could've been is just because the characters were not necessarily written in a way that I could relate to. I felt like they didn't have very distinctive voices, it was more like this literary-fiction-gaze that we were looking at them through which I can't explain but if you know, you know lol. Anyway, a super well-written and poignant read regardless!

I was so excited when I read about this book a couple months before it came out and it did not disappoint.

The writing was fantastic and beautiful and I loved the way the POVs were set up.

There were so many times I got goosebumps reading this and my heart just ached for these characters.

Kukafka does a great job with highlighting the nuances and grey areas of life and more specifically, trauma and how it affects us.

I highly recommend this one! It’s a dark and intense literary fiction novel.
