I had no expectation for this book, and I have LOVED it.
Long, but I raced through it
I'm not a crier, but I sobbed quite a few times towards the end
I didn't find the beginning hard or confusing, but I didn't try to remember everything being introduced, I just got on with it and all became clear.
I'm a harsh critic, but I give this 5 stars.

Was too much to keep track of, didn’t really care what was about to happen
I always love books and storylines that don’t necessarily focus on love with a significant other, but love through friendship. Suffice it to say, House of Earth and Blood does it SO well. It also sets up the next few books and I can’t wait to pick up House of Sky and Breath.

4.5/5 stars. I LOVED how different this book was compared to Maas' other work and how "normal" it was in terms of keeping the world building to the first few chapters and then creating a plot lol. I felt at some times that there were minor holes, but they honestly didn't bother me. I literally love Bryce and Hunt and am excited for what's next!
