Getting Schooled by Christina C. Jones is about mature student/ mechanic/ retired veteran Jason Wright and Modern Black Literature teaching assistant Reese Bryant. Reese is infatuated with one of her students solely off his writing. From the jump she is curious about the man behind the essay and is ready to give him some socially conscious babies! Their first 2 run-ins do not go well but there is some attraction on both sides! And once Reese puts a face to student bae the lust only increases! The banter, the chemistry and the sexual tension between Reese and Jason is just everything! Professor Bryant is hilarious

Overall I liked it. It was a light, easy read. The lead characters were funny and relatable. Their exchanges had me laughing out loud.

However, some aspects could have been more developed and the ending felt abrupt. This didn't detract from the enjoyment. However, I'm glad to know this is a series. I suspect more of the surrounding narrative will be explored there.

WOW! WOW!
After reading ‘Seven Days in June’ I’ve been on the hunt for more wholesome Black Love books and daaaammnn CCJ did not come to play!
I loved everything about it! On that note I am on a binge!!

4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. This was my first Christina C. Jones book and I am impressed!! This romance is very mature, and I LOVED the narrators of the audiobook. The hero was up-front about what he wanted and made the best word-sparring partner for our heroine. This book make me laugh out loud at so many points, so I can’t wait to read more from the author. It gets four stars from me because I would have loved to read more about the little details of the relationship, instead of transitions to mark the passage of time.

I enjoyed this book and the love story. I like the incorporation of ptsd and having someone to support you through it. I enjoyed our wounded hero mmc and the BDE he was brining. The book kept me engaged and ready to know what was next with these two. Im excited to read more about J's very interesting and accomplished brothers in the next two books.

Wow!

Christina honey let me tell you, your writing skills are A1. I was stuck from beginning to end while reading Jason & Princess tale & they gave me life with every conversation witty or not, especially when discussing the Black Lit class assignments. I absolutely loved everything about Reeses personalty because certain aspects I could relate too. The only con was the slightly incestuous relations when it came to their parents dating, but this story was to good because I didn't stop reading until the last page which I normally wouldn't have done. So girl just know you got skills & I can't wait to read more of your work.

3.5⭐️

Nice to have an MMC who’s mature and isn’t out here doing dumb shit.
