This book is wonderful for people who want to understand how living in the moment will improve one’s life and how not doing so has adverse effects. Wonderful blend between spiritually and practical application. Highly recommend for those who want to feel present.

Rambling, unhelpful. Interludes whose place in the book are baffling: an argument for why every good party needs a theme, a brief discussion of umami flavors ostensibly just because the concept is Japanese. Not the good type of self help book.

This just felt like generic advice to live in the moment rather than more pinpointed ideas about ichigo ichie itself. The topics are fine reminders to get off your phone and be more present in life, but it didn't feel like anything special.
