Nenáročná kniha, která je svou trochou magie a tajemna, příjemným zpestřením, oproti běžným romancím. Nenáročný a přesto čtivě napsaný příběh zaujme a přitom nevyžaduje přespříliš soustředění.

If this turns into a Netflix Romcom, I'll defiantly watch it. Super cute book to read.

4.5 stars rounded up! This was so much fun, and captivating. It was literally a hallmark movie. Think Halloweentown for grownups!

The Ex Hex was a nice, decent romance with a witchy twist. It didn't blow my socks off, but I was genuinely entertained for the majority of this book. It did feel a little surface-level though, but sometimes it's nice to not have your soul emotionally destroyed at the hands of a romance novel.

Some readers will enjoy this quick, steamy second-chance romance, and others might find it a little lackluster compared to other popular romance books on the market. Both are valid takes, I recommend checking this out from the library if possible.

witches + gilmore girls

This sounds delightful!

Do I despise pop culture references in my books, especially romances? Yes. Did I ignore them because this just hit the perfect level of witty, light, Halloween/fall vibes? Also yes. I inhaled this book in a single sitting, so let that speak for itself. I do wish we, as a society, would stop making references to Harry Potter, though. Let that transphobe go, I beg.

I found everyone incredibly relatable and charming, loved the family bonds and the way both the FMC and MMC found ways to grow emotionally together and on their own. Just... a good, lighthearted time with a little bit of steam and a
goddamn talking cat.
