Full disclosure: I read this book after reading Nobody's Fool since this is book one in the Kierce series. I had questions after book 2 (specifically about Nicole/Tad Grayson and why Kierce was kicked off the force) that I was hoping would be answered by reading this book.
Going back and reading Fool Me Once afterwards and not having my questions answered, was bothersome, but I also wasn't as big of a fan of the story. Coben does write amazing twists and turns but I just didn't care too much for Maya and what happened to her (though, again, I loved how everything came together!). I found myself rolling my eyes at a lot of her actions and reasonings for things. Was not a fan of the ending. But the way clues are dropped throughout the story and picked up later to tie into this or that--that's the magic that I enjoy.

Wow. So good. Loved it. Kept you guessing the entire time with an awesome pay off at the end. The book description leads you to believe the entire book may be structured around the woman wondering if she's going crazy by seeing her dead husband on a nanny cam. Thankfully, it does not linger on that for too long. The book is a compelling journey of the woman searching for answers.
There were many twists to this story, most I didn't see coming, which was a lot of fun. Maya's husband has been murdered, oh, and her sister was murdered four months before that. Are they connected and if so, how? As the answers slowly come out the story gets stranger and stranger, yet tighter and tighter. Fantastic writing, very fast paced, really kept you guessing and a well thought out ending that didn't just end with something convoluted. I can't wait to read more from Coben!

I am a long time fan of Harlan Coben mysteries. This would have been better if I have read the actual book, instead of the audio---the reader's voice was just too sedate for a long car trip. Loved the mystery/drama, [though it was about 100+pages of unnecessary descriptive writing], straight through to the last chapter. The ending annoyed the heck out of me, but I have friends who loved it. Overall, good read.
