I think it will translate visually very well. The movie should turn out pretty badass. There was a huge lull in the middle of the book before the Civil War gets started. I enjoyed the beginning chapters the most. It was funny enough and included enough history to keep me reading. It amused me as much as I was expecting but it wasn't the funniest thing I've ever read. I hope the movie is better.
Loved it! Loved that the author weaves historical fact throughout the story. Well written! A quick read for someone who reads slow, such as myself.

I’ve never seen the movie so reading this was all brand new to me. When the movie came out I thought it was one of those stupid humor, Scary Movie, knockoffs just based on the name of it. After reading it I surprisingly enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.
Something I enjoyed about this one was the realism behind Lincoln’s actual life, which is surprising to me since I don’t invest in historical non-fiction. There is a lot of truth to the story and at times, I had to reel myself in that the vampire stuff was fiction based on how well it fits in.
Romance has stolen the vampire genre, but don’t get it twisted, I still love me a nice lil vampire romance. But it was nice to read a “realistic” vampire book.
Definitely going to dive into Pride Prejudice & Zombies eventually!

Honestly, I thought this book would be stupid. I was incredibly delighted that it’s actually an excellent vampire story.

Well-written and well-read book, although ridiculously violent. I actually really enjoyed the combination of historical facts and vampires. Quite fun to imagine!
This book was surprisingly good to me. I loved the historical aspects woven with the fiction of vampires. All together this was an interesting read.
Cool book with a great intertwining of fact and fiction. The ending is awesome!

There are many problems with this book and this story- problems that have been written about by others. AND I found the whole concept of Abraham Lincoln as a Vampire Hunter hysterical.
