Feel like it’s taken me ages to finish this, since I’ve just been sporadically returning to read an essay and then putting it down and repeating the on/off process.

Really solid collection of stories regarding Sarah Polley’s personal life/career, growing pains and traumas.

Was fascinated by a lot of the show business inside track like growing up in arts, working with Terry Gilliam. That Gomeshi chapter is nuts too.

By the end, really enjoyed the theme of perseverance being the best weapon at pushing through traumas.

Loved it. Polley's writing is smooth and very easy to listen to. Not to mention her varied experiences from childhood onward that make this book really engaging.
